The stage lights were soft. He walked out with that same familiar, gentle smile, holding his guitar close like it always belonged there. No big band, no fireworks. Just his clear voice and a soul that seemed to live with the sky. He sang like he was saying “thank you.” As if every note was a hug for the people who had followed him. No one in that audience knew it would be the last time they’d ever hear that voice live. When the last song finished, it didn’t feel like an end. It felt like he was just telling everyone… ‘Cause I’m leaving on a jet plane. Another flight, light and free.
